VacMac specializes in the design, assembly, and calibration of high-precision ion sources for demanding research environments.

For several years, we have been designing and calibrating surface-type ion sources (rhenium, tantalum, tungsten) as well as VD5-type sources, used notably in the MEDICIS experiments at CERN, in conjunction with the ISOLDE infrastructure.

Each source is:

• assembled with a high level of mechanical precision,

• calibrated by pyrometry to ensure controlled thermal conditions,

• and then integrated into experimental targets that meet the specific requirements of nuclear and medical research.

This expertise ensures reliable reproducibility, optimal ion beam stability, and complete compatibility with state-of-the-art experimental facilities.
